DESCRIPTION:

Sober and responsible, Capricorns concern themselves with the structure of society. Having a respect towards authority, age and experience, Capricorns aim to gather these throughout their lifetime. These people like tradition and can be quite persistent/unwavering when it comes to how they believe the pecking order should run. Their cynical view of the world can actually provide a Capricorn with a wicked sense of humour which oftentimes is channeled trough sarcasm. Realistic and industrious from young, Capricorns tend to age backwards, feeling more confident and youthful as they get older and gather achievements. These achievements however are rarely for show, and a Capricorn will work patiently and steadily to reach results that will stand the test of time.

In a reading this card asks you to buckle down and plan for the long term. It also brings awareness to traditions, systems and hierarchies around you.

ABOUT THE EARTH SIGNS

Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Earth signs focus on materiality - the need to make ‘something’ tangible and physical. If ‘something’ already exists, Earth signs have the need to touch, smell and taste it.
Out of all the elements, Earth is the most tangible, reliable and supportive. Much how our natural Earth support all life, the Earth signs also have these qualities. Realistic and thorough, the Earth signs are mainly concerned with what they can see, touch, smell and taste. Physical and material security brings them comfort - which in turn makes these signs comfortable with responsibilities and the idea of earning a living. They are aware of how themselves and others are reliant on these physical things (home, food, money, etc) - which makes them excellent workers. Their understanding of the ‘real world’ actually makes these signs the most in tune with the ‘now’. They are mainly concerned with ‘what is’ instead of ‘what might be’. Making them grounded, peaceful and happy with everyday life.

ABOUT THE CARDINAL SIGNS

Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn

Each of the Cardinal signs is born at the time a new season is beginning. Aries is born at the beginning of spring. Cancer is born at the beginning of summer. Libra is born at the beginning of fall. Capricorn is born at the beginning of winter. Because of this, the cardinal signs are associated with new beginnings, starting something new and change. These signs like to begin new projects, have new ideas, and switch things around in their daily lives. The way these four signs channel this energy can be quite different to each other: Aries is concerned with being a pioneer, and following their own path - whilst Libra is concerned with creating strong relationships with those around them. Capricorn’s motivations are in beginning/building their own careers and social status - whilst Cancer is focused on creating a secure and reliable home life. Not shy about getting their hands dirty, Cardinal signs are blessed with drive and opportunism that allow for them start any and all ideas they come up with. However, due to their dynamic nature, they do not like to be restricted at all - often meaning they leave projects half-baked or completely abandoned. This could also manifest in the Cardinals pushing their way into a leadership position, without actually having learned what they are supposed to be managing (think trying win a Formula race, without ever taking a driving lesson).
